Upcoming Books I’m Looking Forward To!

 April 3, 2019

There are so many upcoming books that I have already pre-ordered that I can't wait to read. Even if you read this post a year from now, I can guarantee you that the books I'm talking about here will still be worth reading, so read on and get excited about updating your reading list, too!

I've had this book on pre-order for over 6 months now and I am counting down the days until I get it! If you don't know about Mary Lenaburg, I suggest you check her out. I've been following her story for years now. The story of her severely disabled daughter, Courtney, and how her family survived the years of caring for her and then her death was inspiring and heart wrenching all at the same time. This book tells that story and the reviews it has been getting from the pre-readers have been phenomenal!

From her Amazon page, "In Be Brave in the Scared, Catholic writer Mary Lenaburg shares how the overwhelming demands of caring for her severely disabled daughter ultimately taught her—and can teach you—that trusting in God and accepting his will can lead to profound joy, no matter what challenges you face."

Joy, people. Joy!

Speaking of joy, and a lot of good laughs, if you have an Instagram account, make sure you are following Mary. If you don't have an Instagram account, open one just to follow her! It will be worth it. Then go and order her book!

Upcoming Book #2

This next book is by Hal Elrod. I read Hal's other big hit, "The Miracle Morning" , about six months ago and it really was an epiphany for me concerning my morning routine.

Next I found Hal's podcasts and now I'm hooked. His podcasts have been so inspirational that whenever I need a boost, I go grab one and listen to it. They are a big part of the reason why you are reading these words in blog format right now!

"The Miracle Equation" is his newest book and I cannot wait to read it as I know it will be very transforming. If you need a boost in self-confidence, which I feel so many of us homeschooling mothers need, get this book and read it! According to the Miracle Equation, all we need for success is unwavering faith and extraordinary effort. Doesn't that sound like the key to successful homeschooling to you?

My 3rd Must-Read Recommendation

I've been listening to Ruth Soukup's podcasts for quite some time now. Again, I can't remember how I first came upon them, but her's was the first podcast I ever listened to and I've been a fan ever since.

Her upcoming book is called "Do It Scared" (there seems to be a theme here, doesn't there) and it's all about how to take action in our lives, even if we are afraid.

I love her tagline, "But courage doesn't mean we are never afraid. True courage means taking action, despite the fear." How many times do we not do something because we are too afraid?  More importantly, how often do we teach our kids the same thing?? I cannot wait to read this book. If you are looking to start overcoming your fears, or want to start teaching your kids to, go and order this book right now! It comes out in May, so you won't have to wait too long.

That's it for Now!

I have a couple of other books on my pre-order list, but those can wait for later. Summer is fast approaching. Ok wait, no it's not, but we can hope, can't we?!

In the meantime, get your summer-reading books lined up and ready to go! Reading books that inspire and uplift you is a great way to practice one of the three pillars - that of self-care. Take some time to lift yourself up!

Let me know if you read any of these books, too, and what your thoughts are. I can't wait to hear from you!
