Pray With Others

There are a lot of different options out there for novenas to the Holy Spirit. A trip to Google will confirm that. Many of the novenas focus on the different gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit, usually praying for one with each day.

If you like praying novenas with others, you can sign up with "Pray More Novenas" and get the daily prayers sent to your inbox for the duration of the nine days.

This is a great way to pray novenas because you are less likely to forget about it, unless you don't check your email every day. If you sign up with them now, the first email will show up on Friday, May 22nd and end on the Saturday before Pentecost.

Pray on Your Own

If you're good with keeping track of novenas and praying on your own, here is one that I've used for a number of years. I like it because it focuses on a different title of the Holy Spirit each day. Besides the daily prayer, there is also a Scripture passage to read.

Something I do to keep track of my novenas is to write the dates of the nine days I will be praying on a sheet of paper so that I can cross the date off once I am done. This way I can easily see if I've forgotten a day.

If you want some help remembering, I will be posting the Scripture passage and the daily prayer on my Facebook page each day of the novena. I will be starting on Friday, May 22nd and ending on Saturday, May 30th.

Daily Prayer

Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and enkindle in them the fire of your love. Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created and thou will renew the face of the earth. Renew in us the grace of our Confirmation and prepare us for your presence on the Feast of Pentecost. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

An Important Companion

Remember, one of the pillars of a joy filled homeschooling mother is prayer, and her relationship to the Trinity is of crucial importance.

The Holy Spirit can nudge you when you need a nudge. He can inspire you when you're feeling like you need something new. If you've ever been hit upside the head with a 2x4, then you know just how powerful the Holy Spirit can be.

As a homeschooling mother, you need all the help you can get, right? Take a few moments each of the nine days before Pentecost to get to know the Holy Spirit better.

Taking this special time now before the Feast of Pentecost to pray this novena is a great way to grow in faith and in friendship with the Holy Spirit.
